Verification Process

MALTDAQ is a marketplace for ‘as new’ bottles of whisky and its members are fully vetted and verified before they can buy or sell. These strict procedures are put in place to create a trusted marketplace where genuine bottles are bought and sold.

Each bottle together with its presentation packaging is visually examined by our team in relation to our Condition Guidelines to confirm that it is in the same ‘as new’ condition as would reasonably be expected when first bought from a retailer, or when bought directly from the distillery or bottler.

Our verification process demands a further examination against expert criteria to verify that bottle shows no reasonable evidence of being counterfeit or fraudulent.

If a bottle of whisky is unsuccessful following the verification process, then MALTDAQ reserves the right to return the whisky to the Seller and issue the Buyer with a full refund. in the case of a suspected counterfeit or fraudulent whisky please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details of the action MALTDAQ will take.

MALTDAQ will only deliver to the buyer and instruct their payment partner to make a payout to the seller on successful verification.
