Maltdaq Closure

Thank you for visiting.

Due to the recent pressures on the collectible whisky market and specifically on new whisky releases, it is with huge sadness that we are, today, announcing the closure of Maltdaq.com

Please see here more information following this closure announcement.

If you have a transaction currently in progress, don’t worry; our team is still on board and our service will continue until each transaction is completed (please see below for more details).

Alternatively, you can contact us at support@maltdaq.com to discuss your current transaction.

So that we can deal with your query as quickly as possible please contact us using the email address you have registered with Maltdaq quoting your transaction reference number (e.g.T-XXXX).

Launched in 2021 Maltdaq.com was an innovative way of buying and selling collectible whisky. Based on transparent pricing, using Bids placed by buyers and Asks placed by sellers to match the best price for both, Maltdaq was the first of its kind in the whisky market.

We’d like to thank all our members for their support in trusting in this new way of selling and buying whisky, which we believe was ahead of its time.

With thanks,

Maltdaq

What the closure announcement means for recent Transactions, Bids and Asks:

If you have recently bought or sold a whisky through Maltdaq:

First, please don’t worry.  Although the maltdaq.com website is no longer processing new sales or purchases, existing sales and purchases, including those which have only just been confirmed are not affected and will continue as normal.

Our full team remains on board and will continue to provide our normal service until each transaction has been completed.

This means that we will receive, examine, dispatch and payout on whiskies as we have always done.

We are now in the process of contacting all members who have a sale or purchase in progress at the time of this closure announcement so please check your inbox for more information.

If you have an Active Ask or Active Bid on Maltdaq:

All active but unmatched Asks and Bids are now expired (cancelled) and will not result in a sale or purchase.

You do not need to do anything, but you can check the status of your Asks or Bids when logged in to Maltdaq by going to My Account>My Trades and selecting the Asks or Bids tab.

Over the next day we will contact you by email with more information so please check your inbox.
